Character sheet for my 46-page European size comic.

I thought it was about time to do some character sheets for all of my main characters, since I can't post the whole comic here on dA, so it might be a bit confusing with all the loose sequences out of context.

So meet Naid - he's a bit weird but really a nice guy ;-)

Kijara, bad girl gone (reasonably) good: [link]
Viper, Kijara's older brother: [link]
Tank, Kijara's second older brother: [link]
Jazz, Kijara's twin brother: [link]
Darwin, Naid's friend and colleague: [link]

Love him :D
He's so cute :meow:
And like, asexual or something :giggle:

I see your studying psychology, that must really help when constructing complex personalities :)

Yeah, Naid seems a bit asexual, but nobody really knows what's going on there, 'cause even though he tends to blabber without thinking all the time, that is a subject he usually avoids... :D

I'm graduating as a psychologist next summer - I'm writing my master thesis now and then I need to do a 5 month internship next spring. It's a LOT of help in constructing personalities - it enables me to make their personalities deeper and more complex, and then the character seems more 'real'. It also helps in writing comics for them, because some scenes almost write themselves, because I know exactly how that person would react to a given situation :-)

Wow. Well done :D

And amazing :la:
Yeah, I've had a little trouble giving most of my characters a FULL so-totally-them personality :giggle:
I'm very pleased with my main 2 though :D

Thanks :D
I think the full personalities for the other ones will come with time, it's not easy making up such complete characters :phew:

Read the sheets, all these characters are great and very much alive, no objection really. Great job :)

Some questions fot the expert (that being you) about Naid:

1) Why do asexual characters almost always possess superb intelligence? Does that mean that the rest of us are in fact primitive to follow our urges and instincts?
2)I've never met a truly asexual individual, but if I go and imagine one (assuming he/she has regular human emotional spectrum), I'd personally add a dose of egotism and a superiority complex.....you gotta love *something*, I mean...

just out of curiosity ;)

Nothing wrong with curiosity :D

I think asexual human beings would have a LOT of issues, living in a society where they don't really fit in at all. I don't think there's any kind of link between asexuality and intelligence, but people creating characters may create this link intentionally or not, since sex drive is a basic biological urge found in most animals, while high levels of intelligence is not. Again - I don't believe there's any kind of a link between asexuality and intelligence in humans, but it might explain why people create this link in fictional characters.

Naid focuses his love on people in general and is prone to be insensitive and inappropriate around things like personal space. He doesn't seem to have a normal emotional spectrum - for instance he very rarely shows signs of anger or aggression - again, this is not a link to his asexuality, and not showing emotions like that is not the same as not having them - he may just be hiding it.

Naid has some secrets that he's not letting on, and he may not be as innocent as he seems ;-) There's a reason he is the way he is, but I can't really tell anybody yet, because it would be a major spoiler. I have to finish the comic first, 'cause Naid's Secret is the working title of the next story line ;-)
